Christmas watercolour with the SOLO GOYA Aqua Paint Markers
11/13/2019 |If you have only limited time to paint, you will appreciate practical artist materials. For our Christmas watercolour wreaths, you only need paper, brush, water and the SOLO GOYA Aqua Paint Marker in the colour olive-green, carmine and black. With so little equipment, the artist's table is quickly set up - in half an hour wonderful puristic works will emerge.
Minimalist illustrations seem particularly calm and fresh as they are created with only little paint. The paint is transferred directly from the pen to a palette or ceramic plate, then diluted with water and painted onto watercolour paper with a brush. Different nuances bring the watercolour to life. We mix in carmine and olive-green to an earthy brown tone. Lighter tones are created by adding more water. Mixing with black turns the light olive-green into a darker variant. A great shade for stronger leaves.
In our watercolour project, we practise the art of omission and reduce the details. Without a sketch, we allow ourselves to be carried away by a simple stroke and the flow of the paint. The SOLO GOYA Aqua Paint Marker combines the typical character of a fluid paint with a high brilliance of colour. The addition of water creates many colour nuances - practical if you only want to create with a few basics. The SOLO GOYA Aqua Paint Marker is therefore a great variation for watercolour beginners or anyone looking for a practical alternative to classic watercolour cups.
