Christmas lettering on delicate branches
11/12/2019 |Our letterings and printed words are framed by wreaths and twigs in the trendy watercolour style. We will show what to pay attention to in our November artist's tip. The delicate watercolour paintings are enchanting, very special greetings appear when decorated with letterings. It's perfect to make a little joy for the dearest people in the pre-Christmas time. Whether as a souvenir for brunch or as a Christmas card for relatives - the self-designed unique pieces are an eye-catcher!
As soon as the watercolour of the Christmas decorations has dried, you can start lettering. First, we draw the lettering with a pencil. Then we paint the lines with the SOLO GOYA Aqua Paint Marker in black. The elastic tip of the artist's pencil is shaped like a brush. It's fantastic for drawing both filigree lines and wide strokes - and all that with continuous, colour-intensive application. That's how we enjoy lettering!
Which colour is typically Christmassy? Exactly! Gold sets wonderful accents. For another Christmas greeting we decorate a card with the KREUL Acrylic Metallic Marker in gold. Wow, it shimmers so splendidly! The colour-intensive writing of the marker wonderfully contrasts with the delicate watercolour branch.
You don't feel like writing the greetings yourself? It's not necessary at all. We'll simply print out a lettering with the laser printer and place in on the Christmas watercolour drawing. Then we cover it with the KREUL Transfer Marker and press it with a wooden stick. Now remove the pattern. See there - the transferred lettering makes our picture beautiful. It is important to print the lettering mirror-inverted so that it can be read after the transfer. We hope you'll have fun trying it out and being creative!
