Cool lettered messages, sophisticated designs – what look’s good on paper napkins can turn textiles into high-end accessories. And you can stick the stylish motifs onto fabrics with KREUL Textile Potch. The fabrics are then even washable. Here, we tell you about the special glue for paper napkin decoupage on textiles. How about a table runner or cushion cover with rose-coloured flowers? Without any painting at all, we use the paper napkin glue to conjure spring feelings on fabrics. Who fancies a DIY-designed fabric? We show you how easy it is.

KREUL Textile Potch: individual fabric design

With the right sort of glue, paper napkin decoupage works on textiles! KREUL Textile Potch makes this possible. Decorate fabrics with individual designs and simply stick your favourite paper napkin designs onto textiles. Of course, the flower motifs & co. on tablecloths can survive washing in a washing machine. After fixing, the paper napkin motifs are washable to 40 °C in a delicate wash cycle. The water-based glue is glue and varnish in one. So all you need is the one product, two paintbrushes and a stylish paper napkin motif. Let’s get started!

Designing fabrics with paper napkin designs: here’s how

For paper napkin decoupage on fabric, you need KREUL Textile Potch and a few stylish paper napkin motifs. We have decorated a cotton table runner with a floral motif. But other textiles made of silk, viscose and mixed fabrics with max 20 % manmade fibres are also suitable. First, use a sturdy paintbrush to apply a generous amount of Textile Potch to the fabric surface. Then carefully peel off the topmost layer of the printed napkin and lay it on the fabric surface. Use a dry and soft paintbrush to carefully smooth out the napkin motif. Then varnish over the motif with the soft paintbrush, that is apply another coat of KREUL Textile Potch. After a drying time of around 24 hours, you can fix the decoration in place. For this, heat your kitchen oven to 150 °C and fix the motif to the fabric for 8 minutes in the heat.
