Abstract eyecatcher: KREUL Leaf Metal on canvas
Simply shimmering gold. With its relief structure and the gleam of KREUL Leaf Metal in gold, this elegant artwork is truly enchanting. The secret to this elegant look and feel? That is KREUL Primer Pastose applied with a palette knife. The thick consistency of the special adhesive creates wonderful peaks and valleys in the artwork. The wafer-thin KREUL Leaf Metal clings to it to make a stunning impression!
Stylish variation: gold leaf
Ever painted with glue? Here's another option for some chic gilded art. We are using KREUL Primer to paint a leaf on the surface. Laying on KREUL Leaf Metal shows off the simple shape of the motif for a wow effect. A surface with a concrete look adds a fascinating contrast.
Elegantly framed: with golden highlights
Artists are always astonished how expressive simple art can look once it has been framed. We are intensifying this effect by gilding parts of the frame, making it into something luxuriously special. For this, paint KREUL Primer onto parts of the frame and adorn with KREUL Leaf Metal in gold.
So easy to gild with KREUL Primer
Use a paintbrush to apply KREUL Primer evenly onto your artwork or picture frame. The surface you want to decorate should be clean, dust- and grease-free. Let the whitish primer dry until it turns transparent (at least 20 minutes), for very absorbent surfaces, apply two layers of primer.
Lay the KREUL Leaf Metal on top of the primed surface and press this down gently with a soft, dry paintbrush. Carefully remove any leftovers with a paintbrush. Then let everything dry for 12 hours before gently polishing with cotton wool. Leave your gilded art to dry thoroughly over several days and varnish with KREUL Coating Varnish for Leaf Metal to protect it against corrosion.
