Street art in chalk – our play idea for the holidays

07/04/2024 |

Bright and colourful holiday fun? Sure, you've got it with KREUL Streety Sidewalk Paint. Use it not only to make asphalt into your own personal artwork, but into a play zone, too. Here, we show you some deas for hopscotch games along with motifs that'll make your neighbours stop and stare. Our street art motifs for pictures are definitely worth a selfie.

What makes KREUL Streety Sidewalk Paint so special? Painted onto dark asphalt, the chalk paint shines out brightly. You use a paintbrush to apply the paint. Compared with the thin lines drawn with ordinary pavement chalks, this makes for a totally different impact. Try it out in the summer holidays!

What tools can you use to apply sidewalk paint

KREUL Streety Sidewalk Paint is liquid chalk paint that you apply with a large bristle brush. With a paint roller, you can get it to go even further. You can make even large areas bright and colourful with just a little paint. One fun effect is to apply the chalk paint with a sponge dabber. This way, you can create small dots of colour that glow like huge flakes of confetti on the street.

KREUL Streety Sidewalk Paint is available in the colours Cloudy White, Rubber-Duck Yellow, Striped-Sock Red, Flip-Flop Blue, Blade-of-Grass Green and Air-Balloon Purple. But you can't find your favourite colour? No problem: you can mix all the colours with each other, so you can create lots of intermediate colour shades for awesome street art. Paper plates and little buckets are useful for mixing paints.

What to paint? Our street art ideas for kids

Such bold colours call for action-laden art. KREUL Streety Sidewalk Paint is perfect for painting jumping and hopping games or obstacle courses. Or what about artwork that you can use as a backdrop for funny photos. Rainbow emojis and feel-good pictures show passers-by that this is the place to play!

KREUL Streety Sidewalk Paint has been developed for painting on asphalt and paved surfaces. Best not to use it on quarry stone as it can be trickier to remove than from asphalt. It's a paint for children, without any substances that are harmful for the environment, and consists largely of water, chalk and pigments. Perfect for brightening up driveways. We recommend young artists to stick to the property belonging to their homes to make sure they don’t upset anyone. We are delighted that KREUL Streety Sidewalk Paint has become a huge attraction at local neighbourhood festivals! We’d love to see your photos, send them to our Instagram account

How do you wash off KREUL Streety Sidewalk Paint?

The painted-on chalk art isn't permanent, since the liquid chalk isn't waterproof. One or two heavy rain showers will rinse the artwork away. But you can also wash off the dried chalk paint with a garden hose or remove it with water and a brush. Still some traces of colour left? No worries: KREUL Streety Sidewalk Paint is not light-fast and will fade away over time in the sunshine.

T-shirt accidentally a bit colourful, too? You can wash spots of KREUL Streety Sidewalk Paint out of most textiles from 30 °C. For dabs of paint on the skin, we recommend taking a long soak in a bubble bath. Our sidewalk paint has been dermatologically tested and is harmless, but paint marks on the skin can be a bit stubborn.
