For fresh colour combos that are always just right
Just like in the other two Color Living Sets - Acrylic Gloss Colours and Glass & Porcelain – cheerful colours take centre stage in the new fabric paint set. And the best thing about the colours in this set are that they are coordinated with each other. Violet alongside Cherry, Leaf Green and Golden Yellow – here every combination works perfectly.
The colours in the set lie on top of the fabric. They are highly opaque so that that the underlying surface no longer shines through. The fabric paints radiate wonderfully on both light- and dark-coloured fabrics. They are used to decorate fabrics made of cotton and mixed fabrics containing max. 20 % manmade fibres. You can use this set to easily paint jeans, viscose, canvas materials, linen or jersey. Here, we have painted a cushion cover with organic shapes for a pleasing summer look.
What comes in the KREUL Javana Color Living Set of fabric paints for light- and dark-coloured textiles
The KREUL Javana Color Living Set of fabric paints for light- and dark-coloured textiles includes a paintbrush and six 20-ml jars of paint in the colours Light Blue, Violet, Golden Yellow, Cherry, Rose, and Leaf Green. The highly opaque water-based paints come in a pastose consistency. This makes them not only suitable for painting with a brush, but also ideal for stencilling and stamping. How about a stamped print in thr form of a leaf or polka dots applied with foam sponge paint dabbers? The fabric paints are perfect for you to realize all your ideas on fabrics. For us, it is important that you can rely on our paints. That's why we make our paints in a fair and safe process in Germany, at our plant in Hallerndorf, Upper Franconia.
Tips & tricks for fixing your designs
The paints are already water-resistant as soon as it has dried. But after they have been fixed, the paints are light-fast and washable on fabric,s providing these are washed inside out at temperatures up to 40 °C.
We recommend that, prior to painting them, you wash the textiles without any finishing or softening agents. During painting, we lay baking paper underneath the fabric. This prevents the paint bleeding onto the layer of fabric underneath. We allow painted textiles to dry for six hours. Then fix the paints with heat. Either five minutes with an iron on cotton setting or in a domestic oven for eight minutes at 150 °C. We explain the fixing process in detail in this post.
