Is KREUL Kids Art an acrylic paint for children?
No, it’s not that. You might think that when you first look at it as the liquid paint for children comes in a tube. The colour is very intense and you apply it with a paintbrush, like an acrylic paint. But acrylic paint is waterproof after it has dried as the binder used in it consists of a plastic dispersion. KREUL Kids Art Artists‘ Paint for Children, on the other hand, is water soluble. Even after the paint has dried, you can resolubilize it with a wet paintbrush. The children’s paint contains a water-soluble binder and no plastic or acrylate. KREUL Kids Art Artists‘ Paint for Children is therefore not an acrylic paint..
Can KREUL Kids Art Artists‘ Paint for Children be easily washed off skin and clothing?
Yes, that’s easy to do as the children’s paint is water-soluble. Even after it has already dried. You can wash colourful hands with warm water and soap. We recommend the kids wear clothes that they are allowed to get dirty for their creative endeavours – for a relaxed atmosphere during painting. But marks on textiles aren’t a problem as you can wash out KREUL Kids Art Artists’ Paint for Children from 30 °C. It’s best to let marks to dry on clothes and remove them in the washing machine. It‘s not necessary to soak the clothes first. So painting with KREUL Kids Art Artists‘ Paint for Children is worry-free. With an acrylic paint, that wouldn’t be the case.
Why do the KREUL Kids Art colours have different opacity?
Turquoise is opaque, Pastel Rose is semi-transparent and Primary Yellow is transparent. The opacity values of KREUL Kids Art Artists‘ Paint for Children are not all the same. This is to do with the pigments used in the various colours as these have different properties. A transparent paint can only be made more opaque with the addition of other ingredients. But we have made a conscious decision against that. In acrylic and oil painting, colours with different opacity values are desirable. With these, new colour impressions are created layer by layer. A transparent primary yellow shines bright from a white background or tints an opaque primary blue slightly greenish when it is applied on top. The opacity values of the individual colours are printed on every tube. In addition, the values are displayed on the colour charts at retail outlets.
Are the paints safe for children and free of critical ingredients?
