When our very youngest artists start painting, it should be a worry-free and safe experience for all. That's why we have made sure that MUCKI Finger Paint is child-friendly. You can see this at a glance on the paint tubs from the small symbols or icons on the label and the packaging. A T-shirt, a droplet, an iron and a 2+ icons indicate these child-friendly features. In this post, we explain exactly what these icons mean.
### T-shirt icon: Paint is easy to wash out of clothes, etc.
This icon tells you that you can easily wash MUCKI Finger Paint out of clothes and other fabrics, at a temperature from just 30 °C. To get even heavily stained children’s clothing clean again, we recommend that you let the MUCKI Finger Paint dry. Don’t soak the stain in water, just relax and let the budding artists carry on painting. Then wash the item of clothing at 30 °C in the washing machine. ### Droplet icon: Dermatologically tested
This icon tells you that MUCKI Finger Paint has been tested for skin compatibility. We arrange for this test to be carried out by dermatologists. On the basis of an epicutaneous test, they assess whether the product can cause allergic reactions on skin. Gratifyingly, all the results so far have shown that MUCKI Finger Paint has been tolerated well by test persons.
Perfect for children’s delicate skin and even suitable for painting Mummy’s baby bump to celebrate the pending arrival of a new little brother or sister. MUCKI Finger Paint is also okay for photo shoots. But it isn’t suitable for bodypainting. As soon as it dries on the skin, the paint can start to crumble. But it is easy to wash the paint off skin with lukewarm water.
### Iron icon: Washable after fixing
The printed-on iron icon indicates that motifs painted with MUCKI Finger Paint for Fabric can survive the washing machine. Washing cycles up to 40 °C are possible, though you have to fix the paints with an iron first. Let the paint dry for around 24 hours on the fabric. Then iron the reverse side of the fabric on the iron's cotton setting for around 5 minutes to fix the paint in place. Alternatively, you can fix the paints in a preheated oven at 150 °C for 8 minutes.
### 2+ icon: For children aged from 2 years
This icon is our age recommendation. We have developed MUCKI Finger Paint especially for children aged from 2 years and adapted it to meet their needs. From around 2 years old, kids get interested in exploring paint and colour. For them, it's not about painting pictures quite yet. But the very youngest children are happy mucking about with the paste-like paint. And the little artists are full of wonder at the colourful hand- and footprints they can make with their hands and feet.
MUCKI Finger Paint is child-friendly. It is paraben-free, gluten-free, lactose-free, nut-free, titanium dioxide-free and vegan. Mummy and Daddy can let their children paint worry-free – naturally, under supervision. Is MUCKI Finger Paint suitable for children younger than 2 years old? At this age, the kids shouldn’t be playing with paint on their own. Together with Mummy and Daddy, though, they can create with paint. For example, baby footprints as a wonderful keepsake.
