Crafting is always a highlight at children’s birthday parties. But don’t panic – here crafting with the kids isn’t sticky nor chaotic. You don’t need lots of different utensils, just KREUL Textile Markers. These are robust and so easy to use that the kids can just get drawing straight away. Here, we give you a few tips. Have fun designing t-shirts and other cool fabric accessories.
### Set of 18 markers + cotton fabrics – then just get painting
KREUL Textile Markers are available in different set sizes. For a birthday party with several children, we recommend the KREUL Textile Marker medium Junior in the set of 18 markers. It contains 18 different water-based textile markers. These have been dermatologically tested and work without the kids needing to shake the marker or pump the paint. KREUL Textile Markers have been developed for light-coloured fabrics. So they are ideal for painting light-coloured cotton fabrics. For children’s birthdays, fabric tote bags, gym bags, t-shirts or fabric pencil cases are very popular. So that the paint doesn’t seep through, place baking parchment between layers of fabric.
### Fix the colours in the air
All the birthday guests have decorated a shirt or bag in bright colours? Then they can simply take their DIY-decorated item home after the party. The colours fix themselves after they have dried for three days in air. But what if you don’t want to wait that long? Let the fabric dry for six hours, Cover with backing parchment and fix with an iron on cotton setting for five minutes. The design can also be fixed in a domestic oven for eight minutes at 150 °C. Fixed fabric art can be washed inside out at temperatures up to 60 °C.
