At KREUL, we think up and make liquid paint and other products, and finally we even set the stage to present them. It sounds as if we have a mix of artist's atelier and film studio at KREUL. But that isn’t so far from the truth. While food manufacturers might have a test kitchen, we as a manufacturer of paints have allowed ourselves a creative studio. Here, we try out, compare, and test our paints and products, while we also snap photos or shoot film clips and reels. Join us for a look behind the scenes and we'll tell you all about what we get up to in the KREUL creative studio.
### Lights, sound and action for our paints
The scene is a living room: white armchairs, light-coloured shelving decorated with candles, large-size artwork on the wall. But though it may look cosy, it's really just a backdrop. In the KREUL creative studio, we produce lots of films about our products. Youtube tutorials, DIY reels for Instagram, advertising photos for our retailers’ online shops and more. Here, we set the scene for our paints step by step. So that the colours radiate and show off their full beauty, we keep everything nice and light. For daylight on gloomy days, we use portable light sources and white screens. Then it's just a matter of thinking up the story, getting the paints and products ready, and then action!
As we are very active on Instagram and Facebook @kreulpaint, we shoot short film clips almost weekly. These inspire creativity and give you easy-to-follow tips. All product launches are presented in more detailed films that explain exactly what the product has to offer.
### First comes the idea: colour charts for new shades
At the beginning of every artwork is the inspiration. It's the same for a new paint colour. In the KREUL creative studio, we are surrounded by colours and can put ourselves in the situation of artists. What does a paint have to be for it to be used to paint large areas? Which colours can be used for very expressive impasto art. Which basic colours do artists want to mix bright colours? When new colours are created, we do a lot of thinking in our creative studio. We mix colour shades, compare nuances and put together ideal combinations.
### Tested and rated especially beautiful
So that being creative is fun, you don’t just need a wide selection of colours. But the paints have to be practical for everyday use. In the KREUL creative studio, we also test paints for their everyday suitability. For instance, a fabric paint should be washable after it has been fixed. We check this in washing tests. The versatility of a product is also tested in the KREUL Creative Studio. On which surfaces can you apply a certain paint? What surfaces can you stick with KREUL Potch? We try out lots of variations and capture the best ideas in photos – as inspo for kids, artists and creatives.
### Simple explanation of paint and colour know-how
High quality and easy to use: that's what we want from KREUL products. Nevertheless, questions can come up during while you are using them. Unlike other manufacturers, we don’t use chatbots to answer your questions. If you send an email to service@kreul.de or write a DM per Instagram to kreulpaint, it will land in the KREUL creative studio. Here our paint and colour experts answer every enquiry personally.
