### Testing for the perfect formula
At the heart of SOLO GOYA Triton Acrylic is an acrylic binder that binds all other formulation components to form a uniformly drying film of paint. The numerous colour shades are produced with high-quality pigments. We can tell you about the functions performed by the pigments and binder here. The easy-to-paint consistency of the artists‘ acrylic paints is obtained with the addition of a thickener. Mineral fillers ensure a perfect matt finish of the paint. Additives are used to uniformly distribute the colour pigments, prevent foaming and make for good paint durability. Put together, all these components make SOLO GOYA Triton Acrylic into what it is: a colour-intensive, liquid and matt-drying artist’s paint. Before a newly developed colour shade of the SOLO GOYA Triton Acrylic is mixed in the production plant, a formula is composed in our company laboratory. This undergoes rigorous testing and is modified until the colour shade, brilliance, consistency and durability meet our quality standards.
### Intensive mixing and stirring
Once we are satisfied with the quality of the formulation, the artist acrylic paint can be produced in series. SOLO GOYA Triton Acrylic is a liquid acrylic paint. To obtain this consistency, it contains a large quantity of water Depending on the formula, all solid and liquid components of the paint are weighed in a set sequence and then placed into the mixing vessel. There they are mixed with each other by a dissolver until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Our specialists call this process dispersion. We produce SOLO GOYA Triton Acrylic on a grand scale – between 300 and 1 000 kg of one colour is processed in one production run. That's a lot of paint in a range of over 50 colour shades.
### Assessed for consistent quality
After dispersion, a sample of the freshly produced paint is tested in the laboratory. We test whether the colour shade obtained, the viscosity and the homogeneity are exactly the way we want them. This enables us to produce artist acrylic paints with consistent quality. Once the laboratory gives the go-ahead, the paint is passed through a sieve again to filter out even the tiniest lumps. Then our SOLO GOYA Triton Acrylic is ready to be filled into 750-ml bottles and 2.5-litre buckets. After the acrylic paint has been filled into bottles, etc., the orders for our retailers are picked, packed and dispatched.
