At KREUL, a lot revolves around the topic of sustainability. Our goal is to make a valuable contribution to the future. This is already working with resource-saving ingredients for certain colours and mediums. It is also important to find sustainable solutions for daily processes. For example, from now on we are changing our PU bags with PCR recycled material. It's a small thing that the end consumer won't even notice, but it still makes a big difference. If the plastic packaging is already part of a cycle during logistic operations, less waste ends up in the environment. In this article, we will explain what PU bags actually are and how they can be made more environmentally friendly by using better materials.
KREUL pens and markers are offered for purchase not only as a set, but also individually. They are supplied in a packaging unit of 6 pieces in a transparent plastic bag. On the PU bag, there is a sticker with information about the product, for example, the product name and article number. This has the advantage that traders do not have to sort them out according to article number and colour shade when they receive them.
Then pens are then removed from the PU bag and sorted into the pen boxes or shelf systems on the sales floor. The PU bag has served its purpose and can be disposed of. But plastic packaging is not sustainable - or is it? KREUL is now relying on post-consumer recycled materials (PCR). These are recycled plastics from household or commercial waste, much of which comes from packaging. So, it's plastic that's made from recycled plastic and can also be recycled again. This is where our dealers come in, who ideally have also consciously integrated waste separation into their everyday lives. The KREUL PU bags thus become part of a cycle. Our new PU bags made of PCR have been tested and approved. As soon as their predecessors are used up, the use of the sustainable solution can start.
