### KREUL Blackboard Varnish: transparent for a natural look
Blackboard Varnish makes you think of a traditional school blackboard. But you can do so much more with it than just make a blackboard. After all, it is silk-matt varnish suitable for designing chalkboard surfaces on wood, cardboard, clay, metal, concrete, plaster or walls. The special thing about it: this special varnish is transparent and allows the surface underneath to shine through. Natural materials like wood remain visible, but can still be used as a chalkboard. So, for instance, you can turn a wooden box or a log slice into a pretty chalkboard that you can letter with a KREUL Chalky Marker.
We recommend that you sand down the wooden box or log slice a little first. Then apply the transparent KREUL Blackboard Varnish with a synthetic paintbrush. If the applied varnish is too thick, it can appear white. Clean your paintbrush with water as soon as you have finished painting. The chalkboard surface is dry after around one hour and you can write on it after 24 hours.
### KREUL Chalky Marker: for letterings and decorative touches – always new
Why decorate a chalkboard? So you can use a KREUL Chalky Marker to draw on pretty ornaments and then wipe them off again with a damp cloth. What about a welcome sign with a natural look? We decorate log slices with a “Welcome” message and decorative leaf ornaments in the chalk colours “Snow White” and “Rosemary Green”. Wow, some instant charm for the entrance to your home.
The KREUL Chalky Marker contains liquid chalk. It is fitted with a valve system for an even and precise flow of the chalk paint. For this, shake the KREUL Chalky Marker vigorously with its cap on for 1 to 2 minutes before you start using it. Then carefully press the tip on some paper a few times to pump the chalk paint until it appears at the tip of the marker. Start writing with the marker on a sheet of paper. Happy with the flow of chalk paint? Then you can get started designing the surface of your board. Whether words of welcome or decorations for a planter – with KREUL Blackboard Varnish and KREUL Chalky Markers, you can make stylish one-off pieces with a personal touch in hardly any time at all!
