### Sustainable glue for paper napkin decoupage on porcelain
Only old cups and glasses in your kitchen cupboard? Paper napkin decoupage is a fantastic way to upcycle cups, glasses and plates. The sustainability aspect was also a consideration in the glue development. So KREUL Glass & Porcelain Potch is water-based, with a vegan formulation. The product containers have been made from recycled materials. The lid of the tub consists of 96% recycled plastic, the tub itself 40%. The glass jar is made from 27% recycled glass, the jar lid from 84% recycled material. The KREUL Glass & Porcelain Potch is made in Germany. In our plant in Hallerndorf in Upper Franconia, we not only have the expertise of specialists, we can also guarantee fair working conditions.
### Brush, detach, stick
Unusual paper napkin designs look best on a white or transparent surface. So we are using KREUL Glass & Porcelain Potch to stick our designs to a glass or a white cup. First, brush a thin layer of KREUL Glass & Porcelain Potch onto a glass or cup. Then carefully remove the top-most layer of the motif from the paper napkin and lay it on the glue. We recommend that you don’t potch the areas you eat or drink from. Now seal the design by applying another thin layer of the glue as varnish on top. And if you like, you can glue a second motif on top of the first and then seal this. So handy that the KREUL Glass & Porcelain Potch is glue and varnish in one.
How to fix tableware decorated with paper napkin motifs
---------------------------------------------------------
Let your decorated tableware dry for four hours. KREUL Glass & Porcelain Potch dries transparent to a silk gloss finish. Then place it in a cold domestic oven and fix it at 130°C with a top and bottom heat setting for 90 minutes. Allow your tableware to cool and cure in the oven and enjoy your new eyecatching glass or cup during your next coffee break.
